PCB materials — sub-categories

  • FR4 standard / halogen-free (Tg 130–180 °C).
  • Mid-loss and low-loss laminates (Megtron, EM-528K, Tachyon, IT-180).
  • Rogers RO4350B / RO4003C, PTFE.
  • Aluminum-base, Copper-base for thermal designs.
  • Polyimide for flex / rigid-flex.
  • Plating chemistry, solder mask and silkscreen consumables.
  • Solder paste (SAC305 default; alternative alloys on program request) and bar.

Cable materials — sub-categories

  • Bulk wire and cable (PVC, XLPE, silicone, FEP, PTFE).
  • Sealed and non-sealed connectors (Deutsch, Molex, TE, JST, Hirose).
  • Crimp terminals, lugs and seals.
  • Heat-shrink tubing and braided sleeving.
  • Shielding materials, foil and braid.

Production equipment — sub-categories

  • SMT placement, reflow ovens, wave / selective soldering.
  • Stencil printers and jet-print systems.
  • 3D SPI, 3D AOI, X-Ray inspection.
  • ICT systems and Flying Probe testers.
  • Harness equipment (cut / strip / crimp, formboards, overmolding).
  • Cleaning, conformal coating, potting and burn-in equipment.
  • Spare parts and consumables for the above.

How qualification works

  • 1. Initial line-card review and capability check.
  • 2. Sample qualification by engineering.
  • 3. Commercial alignment on volumes, lead times and payment terms.
  • 4. Onboarding into the centralized supplier database.
  • 5. Ongoing performance review (quality, OTD, communication).
  • Typical first cycle: 4 to 8 weeks from initial contact to first PO on standard categories.

Commercial terms philosophy

  • Long-term contracts preferred over spot purchases.
  • Forecast-sharing with strategic suppliers — quarterly minimum.
  • NDAs supported and signed in advance for sensitive line-cards.
  • Payment terms standard per category; deviations possible against documented commercial value.
  • Volume commitments subject to rolling forecast accuracy.

What we expect from suppliers

  • Honest line cards and accurate stock data.
  • Predictable lead times with proactive notice on shortages.
  • Documented authenticity of components (authorized channels for active parts).
  • Responsive communication; English working language is acceptable across regions.
  • Notification of EOL / NRND positions ahead of formal announcement, where possible.

Compliance and trade restrictions

  • Suppliers expected to provide RoHS, REACH and conflict-mineral declarations on request.
  • Trade-restriction screening run on every onboarding.
  • Country-of-origin declarations expected for components and materials.
  • Audit access supported on contractual basis with strategic suppliers.

Capacity and forecast sharing

  • Rolling 12-month forecast shared with strategic suppliers, quarterly minimum.
  • Capacity reservations on long-lead items against firm forecast.
  • Joint planning sessions on demand for ramps and EOL transitions.

How to start

  • Email procurement@dannie.cc with company name, line card and category.
  • Include preferred regions, key parts and volume profile in the first message.
  • No general sales calls before line-card review.
